All of General McClellans succesess, if he has any, will be consequential on Popes Masterly maneuvers, and all his reverses will be laid to his delays in not supporting Pope and fighting the great battles at CentreVille and Fairfax Court House. Genl Pope should be made the commander of the entire west, if not the commander in chief of the army.
